On Saturday, about 25 motivated CEMSies took on their good sneakers and gathered in one of Vienna’s wine towns, Nussdorf. To enhance the Austrian experience some even showed off their Austrian traditional clothes, and Dirndls blew in the wind & Lederhosn made men look like men. 😊
And off we went and hiked up through the beautiful vineyards and woods of Vienna. Looking back downhill, the first marvelous views of our city created the first “Wooows” and “Ooohs”. And as this hike had a special twist, of course there was a treat waiting for the hikers up on the top.
As the sun came out we enjoyed Wiener Gemischter Satz from Vienna’s vineyard Mayer am Nussberg, a well-deserved “Brettljause” and even the world-famous Tichy “Eismarillenknödel” (no English word appropriate).
Happy & full of good things we went down to the city – some wandered, some ubered, but hey – the main thing is we walked up there right? Thanks to all participants – what a great event!
