For one of the cultural events organized together with CEMS alumni, we went to the Austrian National Library. The entrance was not easy to find, but once all the lost people joined the group we were able to get started with our private guided tour through the unique Prunksaal which is now the museum part open to visitors of the National Library.
We had a great guide, Philipp, who explained the history of the library and the relevant parts of European history that influenced it. He answered our questions with a good dose of humor, especially fun ones like whether there are secret doors (spoiler: yes, there are).
After the tour we all went to the Palmenhaus for a drink and to chat with the alumni that had joined the event.
