CEMS Club Vienna was proud to offer a wide variety of events to contribute to the Global Sustainability Week 2016, which took place between 17 and 21 October 2016. This week is aimed at raising awareness on the sustainability issues that affect our society. Following this year’s global topic “Social Entrepreneurship”, the CEMS Club Vienna kicked off the week with a tour at “Impact Hub Vienna”, a community made up in order to support social businesses, connecting more than 11,000 members worldwide. The following morning was dedicated to cooking for 200 homeless people at the welfare organization “Die Gruft”. In course of the “Charity Game Night” and the “Masters’ Summit Pub Quiz” later that week, money was raised for the charity organization. The non-profit organization not only builds and finances schools in Togo, but alsocreates sponsorships that enable access to education in Togo, especially for girls.
I would like to thank Marlene and the entire Sustainability Team of the CCV for the amazing events that raised awareness on the high importance of the topic and that I truely enjoyed.
